Challenge

When entrepreneurial doctors approached us, they highlighted several pressing challenges within the medical device procurement sector. These included the lack of negotiating power towards medical supplies providers, time-consuming market research leading to missed trends, inefficiencies and ambiguities in the purchase process, and the high overhead costs incurred by vendors and other parties due to dealing with individual buyers.

In response to the identified challenges, we swiftly mobilized our COPS start-up and scale-up team to develop an integrated meeting point tailored for the healthcare industry. This platform served as a central hub, bringing together all stakeholders – buyers, vendors, distributors, financial institutions, and others – to streamline procurement processes and enhance collaboration.

Emphasizing agility, we prioritized the development of a minimum viable product (MVP) customized for the Czech market. This MVP served as a crucial tool for founders to test waters of the local market dynamics and gather valuable insights. Through iterative refinement, we ensured its effectiveness and readiness for further scale-up.

Furthermore, recognizing the potential for expansion into German-speaking markets, we equipped the founders with a go-to-market strategy to expand to Austria and Germany. Leveraging our extensive network and expertise in these regions, we laid the groundwork for seamless expansion, setting the stage for the integrated meeting point to make a significant impact across borders.
