A Look Back at Venture Builders MeetUp #3
Honest Talk, Late-Night Ideas (and Negroni):
A Look Back at Venture Builders MeetUp #3
Forget boardrooms. This time, we took our Venture Builders MeetUp to a summer bar setting, with ice cubes in our drinks and fresh ideas flowing in the cool downstairs space.
On June 17th, a diverse group of founders and early-stage investors gathered in Prague for the third edition of our Venture Builders MeetUp. The vibe was relaxed yet meaningful. The casual mood of approaching summer holidays was in the air, but so were valuable insights. Most importantly, we reminded ourselves why we do this in the first place.
A keynote that hit different
The evening opened with a warm welcome from Ondřej Dvořák, CEO of COP Solutions. He set the tone with clarity: this isn’t about hype or vanity metrics. It’s about sharing real experiences.
Our keynote speaker, Adam Dostál, brought that exact energy. As the founder of GRIG (edible insect snacks), Larvaloop (bio-waste to protein), and now CEO of GET24, he shared stories from the front lines of launching new categories and scaling impact-driven ventures.
But he didn’t stop at business tactics. His talk was also a timely reminder that life isn’t just about work, even for founders in the thick of it. “Sometimes the smartest thing you can do is pause and remember why you started,” he told us.
No, franchising isn’t boring
In the fireside chat, Jakub Boško from Startink unpacked how franchising can be a powerful growth strategy, especially for startups looking to scale fast without burning through capital. The audience leaned in. Notes were taken.
Even for those who aren’t into networking but are into real talk
The rest of the evening blurred the line between networking and a casual mastermind. Founders opened up about early-stage struggles, debated go-to-market strategies, and swapped stories about building and rebuilding teams. All of it happened with a lemonade or cocktail in hand and the summer night unfolding around us on the terrace.
There was honest sharing. There were those moments of “wait, that’s exactly the same thing I’m currently dealing with”
What this community is really about
Venture Builders MeetUp is about surrounding yourself with people who get what it’s like to build from zero. Or people who are determined to start.
Thanks to everyone who made the Summer Edition one to remember. We’ll see you at #4. Until then, enjoy the sunshine.
